Gandhi Jayanti

On October 1st, 2024, Nehru International School celebrated Gandhi Jayanti to pay tribute to the Father of the Nation. The event commenced during the morning assembly, where our Principal warmly welcomed everyone and expressed appreciation for the students' participation in this significant occasion. The assembly began with the flag hoisting ceremony conducted by Ms. Beena, our Science Faculty. This was followed by a heartfelt English speech on Mahatma Gandhi delivered by Prajith R. from Grade 7. Kadhosh Reyon then captivated the audience with a wonderful Hindi speech about Gandhi Jayanti, while Swathi delivered an impressive Tamil speech, further enriching the event. In a poignant moment, students, the Head Mistress, and teachers paid tribute to Gandhiji by placing flowers at his portrait. Our Principal, Mr. K.S. Sivaprakash, delivered a special address, highlighting why Gandhiji is revered as the Father of the Nation. He encouraged all students to contribute positively to our country, embodying the values that Gandhi stood for. The celebration also recognized students for their active participation in the Sahodaya Competitions. The event culminated in a spectacular dance performance and an engaging skit, showcasing the talents of our students and leaving the audience in awe. The assembly concluded with the National Anthem, fostering a sense of unity and pride among everyone present.
