Krishnakumar sir, Respected Correspondent of NIS & NKA – Dr.Chaitanya Krishnakumar mam, our beloved Chief Guests for the day –Shri.  R Dhanapal & Shri. Ajay Bharatan,  Respected Principals of NGI, the devoted staffs of NGI, beloved teachers & non-teaching staff of NIS, dear parents and my most beloved students of NIS… Good Evening & a hearty welcome to all of you ! I truly express my gratitude for accepting our invitation  and taking  time to be with us on our very 1st Annual day. I have great pleasure in presenting you the Annual Report for the eventful year gone by. Though it has been two years since the inception of NIS, the academic year 2022-23 has been truly remarkable since we were able to return to the offline mode of classes after a gap of two years due to the COVID pandemic. At NIS, we  have accelerated our efforts to make up for the learning loss endured by the children during that period. NIS was established in the year 2020 , as per the dream of our beloved Founder-Chairman Shri P K Das sir. We  do our best to  live up to our motto “A Tradition of Excellence”   with our quest to raise capable citizens.

FDP:

“It’s the teacher that makes the change, not the classroom”. Since it has become pre-requisite for teachers to constantly refresh their knowledge, NIS commenced the academic year with a 5 day Faculty Development Programme from 23rd – 27th May, 2023.

Academics:

At NIS, we provide a defined curriculum as per the guidelines of the CBSE. We lay emphasis on Learning by Doing process. The child’s performance is assessed by a series of Periodic Examinations & Subject Enrichment Activities & the progress is informed to the parents frequently. I am very happy to share that NIS would be sending its 1st batch of Grade 10 students to face the Boards in the year 2023 - 24. Our teachers have already started preparing the Grade 10 learners for the challenges ahead this year. We have also commenced the affiliation process to upgrade our campus to the Senior Secondary level.

Bookfree Day:

All Fridays are earmarked as Bookfree Days for KG – Grade 2. For Grades 3 – 10, Saturdays are Bookfree Days.

Parents Teachers Association:

Our School has an active Parents Teachers Association, with a parent member from each class to create a conducive atmosphere for the parents & the school to discuss optimal solutions for the child’s welfare.

Open House

is scheduled after each exam to enable parents review their wards progress regularly.

Infrastructure:

NIS has upgraded the infrastructure to suit the needs of our learners.
  • The school building has been elevated to the 2nd

Conclusion:

Towards the end, I thank the supportive management whose continuous support has enabled us to come this far. Teachers & the entire staff members also deserve applause for their untiring efforts in implementing the route map of imparting quality education here. I also extend my heartfelt thanks to the parents of our students who have shown unflinching faith in us by giving us the profound opportunity to transform their children into truly useful citizens of the future world. Many milestones have been achieved and many still have to be reached. I conclude with the golden words of William Shakespeare : “ Things won are done, joy’s soul lies in the doing”. For us , the real joy of achievement comes from the effort we take towards progress, which we believe will ultimately take us to the pinnacle.
