The how’s, what’s, and why’s from childhood can fuel further questioning and investigation when transferred to the school science laboratory. The overlap of real-life experience and practical science allows for the discovery of answers. A regular pragmatic approach allows students to immerse themselves in the possibility of a future career in sciences. The primary aim of arranging a well -equipped composite science lab for students is to develop the practical competence often within their area of specialization. It provides opportunities for students to relate and reinforce the theoretical concepts taught in class. It also targets a range of learning outcomes including experiential learning. The enjoyment from practical tasks is not to be underestimated; it can often be the driving force behind the decision to take learning toa higher level. We ensure that our Science laboratory is effectively engaging and inspiring the next generation of scientists.
Just a quick note to say a million thanks for the extraordinary effort everyone at NIS has put in to keep the children learning this term, not just for their intellectual and creative development but emotionally. Outside family, school is their main framework and the fact that you kept it functioning at all during a pandemic, but that you did so with such resourcefulness, care, flexibility and joy is mind boggling to me. It’s not just our NHS workers who are heroes, but our teachers!! Thank you for keeping our boys stimulated, inspired, and most importantly, happy during this tough tough time

NIS nursery is an extremely supportive environment where children can learn, explore, be creative and develop as individuals with confidence. When you go to pick the kids up it is clear that they are extremely focused in whatever activity they are doing. I think also it encourages curious minds, which is great
